Preschool
children learn best through hands on experiences. This age child is full of questions that inspire all teachers working
with young children. Our theme based whole language program is developed to encourage the natural thirst for knowledge your
preschooler has.
Discovery Zone 1
Here your child will develop skills preparing
them to proceed into our Discovery Zone 2 program. Areas of focus in this program include the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes,
and more. In addition, we provide a climate where your child will develop socially, emotionally, physically, as well as intellectually.
Discovery
Zone 2
Skills developed
in Discovery Zone 1 will be reinforced in Discovery Zone 2. Children will be taught and encouraged to become self-sufficient
learners with motivation, confidence, and a strong self-concept. Your child will acquire the appropriate learning experiences
that contribute to developmental needs of each child. Our pre-school programs have schedules that are followed daily to help
your child gain a sense of consistency and structure.
Look and See How We Spend Our Day at Sandee's
Circle Time: Your child is ready to learn and interact with
the teacher and other children. Our program is designed to fill your child with information to stimulate cognitive development.
This is a comfortable setting where we have calendar, stories, finger plays, songs, show-n-tell, and introduction to the daily
schedule.
Table Time:
We provide the children with opportunities to continue to develop fine motor skills along with other skill along with
other skill building activities to keep the preschooler challenged and interested. This can range from various manipulatives,
cutting skills, puzzles, play dough, cooking projects, and games.
Activity Time: This is an opportunity to reinforce academic skill building a variety of ways to our preschooler. Learning
is fun when children are provided colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, in a relaxed environment.
Centers:
This is the highlight of our program. We have an area set up in the classroom for each child to explore at their own pace.
Our centers are high interest with regard to our themes. The preschooler can choose from; Science, Math, Listening, Reading,
Literacy, Dramatic Play, and Large Motor. These centers are changed weekly to keep the preschooler interested and involved.
Outside Exploration:
This is our time to get physical. Preschoolers are ready to take on any challenge. We have an amazing playground for your
child.
